Job Description:

As a technical support engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting expert teams in resolving complex mechanical component issues. Your primary responsibility will be to create and maintain accurate documentation in Teamcenter and Windchill, collect valuable information on component performance, and identify potential defects.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with technical experts to resolve Service Now tasks, focusing on main bearing-related issues.
  • Be responsible for authoring MSE-owned documents in Teamcenter and Windchill.
  • Develop and maintain failed component information, keeping management informed about new potential serial defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a global team of technical experts within Global Service Engineering.
  • Act as a focal point for contact between local business units and central business units.
  • Assign tasks along the technical support process.
  • Collect information about mechanical component performance of wind turbines.
  • Identify and report potential serial issues.
  • Evaluate risk potential, budget, and schedule necessary activities related to major non-conformities.
  • Support local business units in developing sustainable solutions regarding mechanical problems relating to wind turbine drive trains.
  • Develop repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies.
  • Define, implement, and obtain service processes for mechanical assemblies.
  • Improve internal standards and processes, ensuring permanent knowledge transfer between relevant departments and locations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-8 years' experience in Mechanical drive trains and roller bearing (e.g., design, development, evaluation of fault conditions, error analysis).
  • Proven experience in project coordination or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong multitasking skills.
  • Good stakeholder management, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Career Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge in Teamcenter PLM, Windchill PLM, SAP.
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting.
  • Personal Profile/Competencies:
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Additional languages viz German / Spanish / French is good-to-have.
    • Detail-oriented and organized.
    • Good team player.
    • Adaptable to change.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
    • Ability to deal with unexpected difficulties.
    • Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel.
