Network Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Network Support Specialist to fill this key position. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling second-level support and service requests, including network analysis and design, technology support, and client support.

This role involves providing top-level support for any network issues, ranging from implementation of new networks to troubleshooting outages for local and remote networks. Additional responsibilities include handling second-level support and service requests related to all supported technology, including workstations, servers, printers, and Office applications.

  • Technical support for networking, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless, and security.
  • Remote access solution implementation and support, including IPSEC VPN.
  • Understanding of DNS/DHCP.
  • Ability to work with vendor support to resolve client issues.
  • Experience with Command Line Interfaces to manage computer equipment.
  • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education, and 3-5 years of relevant experience as a network engineer. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, excellent customer service skills, and advanced troubleshooting skills are also required.

Certifications such as Security+, Network+, CCNA, JNCIA, Sophos, Palo Alto, and Sonicwall are highly desirable.
