Job Title: Senior Instrumentation Specialist


About the Role:


  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instrumentation solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • This includes designing and specifying oil & gas projects, evaluating supplier offers, and reviewing technical specifications and drawings.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant codes and standards, including ISA, ASME, IEC, UL, CE, NEC, and ATEX.
  • In addition, they will be proficient in design tools such as AutoCAD, SPI, COMOS, and Bentley Microstation.
  • The role also involves working with interdisciplinary interfaces, including Mechanical, Controls, Sourcing, and Installation & Field Services teams.

Key Responsibilities:


  • To design and specify instrumentation systems for oil & gas projects.
  • To evaluate supplier offers and vendor documentation.
  • To review technical specifications and drawings.
  • To develop wiring, arrangement, layout diagrams, and Bill of Material for systems.
  • To select and size instruments such as analyzers, solenoid valves, limit, pressure & level switches, pressure transmitters, and flow instruments.
  • To cable level segregation, conduit, and cable tray selection and sizing.
  • To select and size appropriate Power and Control cables and junction boxes for hazardous zones and non-hazardous zones.
  • To develop comprehensive systems by interacting with interdisciplinary interfaces.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
  • 4-10 years of professional experience in design and specification of oil & gas projects.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards.
  • Evaluation of suppliers offers and vendor documentation.
  • Understanding and reviewing technical specifications and drawings.
  • Developing wiring, arrangement, layout diagrams, and Bill of Material for systems.
  • Selection and sizing of instruments.
  • Cable level segregation, conduit, and cable tray selection and sizing.
  • Selection and sizing of appropriate Power and Control cables and junction boxes.
