About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP APO Planning Specialist to join our team at Colgate-Palmolive Company. As a key member of our supply chain planning team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications like Kinaxis, SCM Advanced Planning Optimization (APO), or Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement planning applications to optimize supply chain operations
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and challenges across all geographies
  • Analyze and provide solutions using existing technologies and identify new techniques and technologies to drive business growth
  • Lead and/or perform the design, testing, and applications of SAP & Non-SAP systems configuration in line with agreed timeframes, business requirements, and global standards
  • Document detailed specifications of configuration design, test, and training programs
  • Maintain production systems reliability through correct utilization of GIT standard support and governance processes
  • Support day-to-day business requirements according to global SLA, respond to emergencies (24X7), and sometimes work in shifts
  • Deliver solutions to business requirements considering priorities and resources available
  • Partner with internal information technology organizations, such as global applications and Americas, regional shared service organizations, risk management, and business shared service organization and business functions
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with GIT peers, business partners, customers, and external resources
  • Participate or lead and coordinate project implementation across divisions
  • Collaborate with other GIT and external partners to deliver business requirements
  • Ensure the proper use of information technology project management GIT 5 project management methodology to align with information technology governance practices

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of hands-on working experience on Kinaxis or 3+ years in APO, IBP, or any SCM other planning applications
  • A consistent record of project management with at least 1+ years on IT role collecting business requirements, developing, configuring, and implementing or supporting planning applications
  • Knowledge of ECC processes in the area of material management (MM) or sales and distribution (SD) is desired
  • For people manager roles, experience in leading a team of 4-8 people is important, including career planning, performance evaluation, and driving strategy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to express technical concepts in business terms and business needs in technical specifications in English
  • Good ability to adapt and work with a variety of situations, technologies, individuals
  • Strong desire to expand knowledge to other supply chain planning or ECC or newer technologies is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and systematically to identify and communicate root causes
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information verbally as well as in written formats
  • Proficient English language skills
