Engineering Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled engineering manager to lead our teams in delivering high-quality products and solutions.

Job Description:

As an engineering manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, managing diverse teams of engineers, formulating and executing strategies, and coordinating with other managers. Your primary goal will be to ensure the timely delivery of product and project commitments while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

  • Delivery Commitments: Own the delivery of product and project commitments for the team. Participate in product roadmap discussions and provide input in design, modeling, and architectural decisions. Own and drive project estimations and operations for implementing high-quality solution delivery and technology upgrades in the product.
  • Team Leadership: Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes. Drive efficiency and productivity to produce high-quality output. Create designs that improve the flexibility, functionality, and usability of system components.
  • NFRs and Quality Assurance: Define NFRs and build a system that meets the NFR requirements. Perform design and code reviews. Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.
  • Code Quality and Design: Use tools and techniques to enhance the quality of code and design, focusing on constant reduction of code debt. Suggest the best design and implementation methodology.
  • Collaboration and Development: Collaborate with other team leaders and departments. Build and develop the required competence in the team.
  • Mentorship and Growth: Mentor team members and prepare them for possible future roles.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience and Portfolio: Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering, 7-15 years of total experience working on delivery/development/team management, minimum 4-5 years of experience in EVM, Android-related technology, frontend technologies like EMV knowledge, Android POS development experience, and good understanding of commonly used databases like SQL and NoSQL.
  • Technical Skills and Efficiency: Personnel and project management skills, expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes, organizational, planning, and documentation skills, proficiency in explaining complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders, ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously, past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools, and ability to create a set of qualifications for a new product.
  • Communication and Ownership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to manage multiple roles and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and adaptability with dynamic requirements.
