AI Practice Head Job Description

This role is responsible for defining and executing the vision, roadmap, and strategy for the AI practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute the vision, roadmap, and strategy for the AI practice.
  • Align AI initiatives with broader digital transformation goals.
  • Represent the practice in executive briefings, partner events, and industry forums.
  • Build and scale a high-performing team of AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and consultants.
  • Develop service offerings in AI/ML, GenAI, data analytics, and intelligent automation.
  • Establish delivery methodologies, reusable assets, and quality frameworks.
  • Architect secure, scalable, and compliant AI solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle—from ideation to deployment.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery and client satisfaction across engagements.
  • Contribute to whitepapers, blogs, and webinars to showcase expertise.
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and integrate them into practice offerings.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or analytics.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role managing AI teams or practices.
  • Proven success in building and scaling consulting practices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expertise in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, NLP, GenAI, and MLOps.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
  • Domain knowledge in BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, or Manufacturing is a plus.
