Job Title: Lead Data Scientist

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our data science efforts in the healthcare domain.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, advanced analytics expertise, and hands-on experience working with large datasets. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data strategies and impactful use cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement machine learning solutions to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists and engineers to foster technical excellence and innovation.
  • Analyze complex business challenges and deliver actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of models in production environments.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven experience in Healthcare data, EHR/EMR systems, medical imaging, clinical NLP, claims data, or healthcare analytics is mandatory.
  • Core Expertise: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Predictive Modeling, Recommender Systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, etc.).
  • Proficiency in big data tools and platforms: Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, AWS/GCP/Azure ML services.
  • Experience with MLOps, model deployment, and monitoring in production.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading projects/teams, mentoring junior members, and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
