Job Description

As a seasoned data architect, you will be responsible for crafting innovative data models that unlock the full potential of assessment data. Working closely with our talent measurement platform, you'll design and implement visualizations that bring clarity to complex assessment results.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and design solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and implement warehouse and reporting solutions that are resilient, reliable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Extract data from bespoke applications and third-party products, consolidating multiple sources into a centralized data repository.
  • Ensure data is accessible and structured to facilitate reporting needs, setting up dashboards and reports in data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Stay ahead of issues with proactive monitoring and alerting, implementing best practices and collaborating with product management to prioritize and plan technical debt remediation.
  • Mentor junior team members in development practices and assist the engineering manager with design and architecture decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of strong experience with SQL Servers and relational databases.
  • Expertise in querying and optimizing complex data sets, creating and optimizing complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Experience working with older legacy code and systems, end-to-end knowledge from product databases to information visualization.
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud technologies, including ADF, Functions, DLS, Synapse, and relational database design and architecture.
  • Expertise in data visualization and reporting, including SSRS and Power BI.
  • Understanding of OLAP structures (single-layer DW / Kimball).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable working with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to self-organize, prioritize, and track tasks, with experience working on their own or in a team.
