Job Overview

This position offers a unique opportunity to build solutions using diverse platforms and technologies. In this role, you will partner closely with product managers to define and refine product roadmaps.

  • You will interact regularly with customers worldwide and establish relationships at the right level with engineering counterparts.

As a director in the print technology group, you will be responsible for leading multiple teams and delivering world-class products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Understand business strategy by working closely with management, sales, marketing, and OEM account management teams.
  2. Drive strategy, architecture, and development goals for various products using customer requirements and business goals.
  3. Ensure all products and solutions are delivered within committed schedules.
  4. Challenge teams to innovate and deliver better products and solutions.
  5. Partner with product managers to define and refine product roadmaps.
  6. Review, approve, and monitor project plans and schedules of products.
  7. Ensure the right staffing of each development team.
  8. Act as an innovation catalyst to foster innovation in the team and create a technical roadmap.
  9. Evangelize your products both internally and externally.
  10. Ensure adherence to Adobe policies and processes for product development and people management.
  11. Encourage interaction across teams and ensure reuse of technologies across products, wherever possible.
  12. Participate in hiring top talents for the print technology group and broader Adobe needs.
  13. Demonstrate Adobe values and create a culture where everyone is valued.
Requirements
  1. More than 20 years' experience working in the software development industry, including at least 8 years as a people manager.
  2. Adept at handling multiple teams - must have at least 4 years' experience as a third-level manager.
  3. Excellent people management, communication, and presentation skills.
  4. Proven ability to drive innovation, deep and hands-on understanding of C, C++, and embedded technologies.
  5. Self-starter, passion to delight customers, willingness to walk the extra mile.
  6. Relationships building with customers and internal stakeholders.
  7. B.Tech/M.Tech degree in computer science from a premier institute.
