Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium WebDriver for end-to-end testing of complex, data-centric web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective and efficient test strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks for end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into effective and efficient test strategies.
  • Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Data-Driven Testing (DDT) methodologies to enhance test clarity, reusability, and scalability.
  • Conduct thorough functional, integration, UI/UX, and regression testing across large-scale applications.
  • Build and manage test coverage for REST APIs.
  • Integrate tools like Postman and REST Assured.
  • Utilize CSS/XPath locators and page object models to enhance test reliability.
  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing.
  • Perform test data management using mock data generators or scripting.
  • Track and report issues using tools such as Jira.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in automation testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Postman, and REST Assured.
  • Strong understanding of BDD (e.g., Cucumber) and DDT testing practices.
  • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript or Java for test scripting.
  • Solid experience in working with cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong knowledge of test planning, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests in build cycles.

Qualifications:

You must have:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Certifications in Software Testing or Automation Tools (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium).
  • Exposure to performance or load testing tools is a plus.
