Lead Quality Engineer

Job Overview:

We seek a seasoned Lead Quality Engineer to spearhead test automation and software quality assurance for various components. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in driving quality initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Drive test automation and software quality assurance initiatives for different components.
  2. Collaborate with software developers to understand software functionality and develop QA plans.
  3. Provide testing infrastructure support for unit tests, isolation, limited logging, and selective testing.
  4. Participate in cross-functional project teams with scientists, software quality engineers, technical support staff, and other engineers.
  5. Ensure adherence to software development and source control processes.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in the IT industry.
  • 8+ years of experience in automation testing and QA.
  • 2+ years of experience as a QA lead or QA architect.
  • Strong coding skills using Java, Selenium, TestNG/JUnit.
  • Experience in preparing and executing test scripts for functional and non-functional testing.
  • API automation experience using Rest Assured or similar tools.
  • Experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Experience with BDD using Cucumber and TDD.
  • Proficiency in Atlassian suite, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Experience with code repositories like GitHub and CI tools like Jenkins/Bamboo.
  • Ability to work in an Agile SCRUM team delivering high-quality software in a sprint environment.
  • Collaboration with product owners to understand requirements, new features, and resolve issues.
  • Documentation of software issues and enhancement requests.
  • Converting manual regression scenarios to automated test cases.
  • Integration and execution of automated tests in CI/CD environments.
  • Diagnosing, reproducing, and testing fixes.
  • SQL database query writing skills.
  • Experience in Agile software development (Scrum and Kanban).
  • Exceptional defect analysis and triaging skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
