Job Overview

The Production Merchandiser plays a pivotal role in driving product development, merchandising, and sourcing to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.

  • Lead the product development process from material sourcing to supplier negotiations and production coordination as per design specifications.

  • Align all stakeholders, including raw materials suppliers, job workers, and internal and external production teams, to meet production deadlines.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Conceptualize, evaluate, and present pre-development samples to stakeholders for feedback and approval.

  • Monitor and assess product performance in terms of fit, construction, and durability to identify areas for improvement.

  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors on pricing to achieve optimal costs without compromising quality or timelines.

  • Identify alternative solutions and suppliers to achieve best-in-class pricing without sacrificing quality or meeting production schedules.

  • Manage sourcing, dispatch, and payments for raw materials, trims, and accessories to optimize supply chain efficiency.

  • Regularly visit job workers and factories to track production progress and address any operational issues.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in product development, buying, merchandising, and production.
  • Excellent knowledge of fabrics, trims, and accessories, as well as the factory supplier base.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to foster collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
