Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Risk and Control Manager - Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily activities across functions such as finance, IT and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Internal Controls Review Procedures and Work Programs to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across merchant life cycle (on-boarding, integrations, transactions & settlements).
  • Provide regular exception reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, manage and report risks within your area of responsibility.
  • Perform Risk Control Self Assessments and timely closure of Assurance action items.
  • Analyze risk reporting and metrics used to inform decision making.
  • Educate teams on the operational risk framework and conduct risk obligations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory and business issues impacting operations.
  • Utilize expert judgment to quickly identify underlying issues and escalate them when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage own workflow and that of direct reports to required deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to work well within the team and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mind with experience in assessing business financial and credit risk for respective portfolios or sectors.
  • Knowledge of payment ecosystem and understanding of financial products.
  • Financial and other risk analysis and problem solving abilities.
  • Experience with implementing IT systems and data analytics.
  • Good with numbers and financial planning.
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
