Job Description

Operational Risk Management:

Develop and implement an enterprise-wide Operational Risk Management (ORM) Framework aligned with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.Identify, assess, and monitor key operational risks across all business functions, including retail and corporate banking operations, digital banking, payments, and back-office functions.Establish risk controls and internal policies to mitigate operational risks, including fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, and cybersecurity risks.Lead Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), root cause analysis, and key risk indicator (KRI) monitoring.

Risk Governance & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, Basel norms, and other regulatory frameworks concerning operational risk.Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and senior management to ensure compliance with risk policies.Conduct periodic risk assessments and drive risk mitigation strategies for outsourced vendors, third-party service providers, and business continuity planning.

Incident Management & Business Continuity:

Establish a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies to ensure resilience against operational disruptions.Investigate operational loss events, frauds, and control failures, and implement corrective actions.Lead crisis management and conduct periodic risk scenario analysis and stress testing.

Technology & Data Risk Management:

Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to address risks related to cyber threats, data privacy, cloud security, and digital banking frauds.Monitor risk exposure from fintech collaborations, digital lending platforms, and new-age financial products.

The Successful Applicant

15+ years of experience in Operational Risk Management within Indian Banks or large NBFCs.In-depth understanding of RBI regulations, Basel norms, ORM frameworks, and risk control mechanisms.Strong experience in managing risks related to payments, digital banking, cybersecurity, frauds, and third-party outsourcing.Proven ability to liaise with regulators, auditors, and senior management.Expertise in risk assessment tools, data analytics, and governance frameworks.Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving a risk-aware culture.
