Software Development Team Lead

The Engineering Manager position presents a unique opportunity to drive technical strategy and lead a talented team of engineers in developing impactful healthcare-focused products.
This role involves balancing technical leadership, people management, and delivery ownership while collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for guiding the team in designing, developing, and deploying services and applications, owning system architecture decisions, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
You will also establish coding standards, best practices, and CI/CD processes across the engineering function and ensure observability, monitoring (APM), and incident response practices are followed.
In this critical leadership role, your decisions will directly shape the system architecture, scalability, performance, and compliance of healthcare applications serving enterprise-grade users.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and support the career growth of team members.
- Project & Delivery Management: Drive execution of healthcare-focused projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Technical Leadership: Guide the team in designing, developing, and deploying services and applications.
- Healthcare Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards including HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and data privacy/security regulations.
- 5-10 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership/managerial role.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional engineering teams and strong expertise in API-first development and large-scale system integration.
- Expertise in backend, frontend, and full-stack development, as well as experience with cloud and DevOps tools.
