Research and Development Associate

This is a full-time on-site role for a Research and Development Associate. The incumbent will conduct research, develop new products, perform tests, analyze data, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Daily tasks include collaborating with other departments to support innovation and development within the organization.

A Research and Development Associate drives innovation and process optimization in the hotel industry. The role combines market research, product development, guest experience enhancement, and operational efficiency.

  • Benchmark competitors, track hospitality trends, and identify guest behavior patterns to inform innovations.
  • Assist in creating new F&B concepts, wellness programs, room designs, or technology integrations aligned with brand positioning.
  • Research eco-friendly solutions (energy efficiency, waste reduction, sustainable sourcing) to improve brand reputation and meet compliance requirements.
  • Pilot digital tools (AI-driven guest services, smart rooms, self-check-in kiosks) and gather data on ROI.
  • Conduct focus groups, prototype testing, and gather guest/employee feedback for continuous refinement.
  • Identify and test innovations to reduce cost-per-occupied-room (CPOR), streamline housekeeping, or optimize procurement.
  • Work with operations, marketing, design, and culinary teams to roll out new initiatives.
