We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer/ Technical Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable data architectures following Medallion Architecture and best practices.
  • They will perform data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration across structured and unstructured datasets.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain data lake solutions in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Gen2.
  2. Create and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  3. Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Azure DevOps.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data availability.
  5. Evaluate and address data governance, security, and compliance in Azure-based data solutions.
  6. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to maintain reliability and performance.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure and big data technologies and implement best practices.
  8. Analyze issues that arise during code/review, identifying the root cause through systematic analysis and justifying decisions made.
  9. Conduct POCs to verify suggested designs/technologies meet requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in Azure Data Engineering with Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Databricks.
  • Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and Python for data processing and transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark for big data processing.
  • Familiarity with designing ETL/ELT pipelines and working with large datasets.
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake (ADLS) Gen2 for data storage and processing.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps concepts, including Azure DevOps, Git, and automated deployments.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and schema design principles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with New Age Technologies like Low Code, No Code, DevOps.
  • Familiarity with data governance and security best practices in cloud-based data solutions.
  • Experience with real-time data processing using Kafka, Event Hub, or Stream Analytics.
  • Knowledge of DataOps methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with APIs, REST services, and integrating third-party data sources.
