Aerospace Systems Design Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our R&D team as an Aerospace Systems Design Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in aircraft design, aerodynamics, CAD modeling, and systems integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and contributing to the design and development of advanced Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) platforms from concept through to prototype and production.

  • Lead and contribute to the conceptual and detailed design of UAV airframes and sub-systems.
  • Perform aerodynamic analysis and optimization of UAV configurations.
  • Design structural components and assemblies using advanced composite and lightweight materials.
  • Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Work closely with electronics, propulsion, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Conduct structural and thermal analysis to validate design performance.
  • Participate in UAV prototyping, assembly, ground testing, and flight trials.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and contributing to the design and development of UAV platforms, including:

  • Aircraft design
  • Aerodynamics
  • CAD modeling
  • Systems integration
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in UAV or aircraft design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and structural design.
  • Experience with composite materials and UAV fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with flight testing and UAV system integration is a plus.
