Workday Functional Consultant Job Summary

\

This role is focused on implementing and configuring Workday solutions to drive business growth and improvement. As a Workday Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for partnering with stakeholders to understand requirements, processes, and business needs, and translating these into effective Workday configurations.

\

The ideal candidate should have strong Business Analyst skills combined with Workday functional expertise, and be able to understand complex business processes, communicate seamlessly with stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of Workday configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders and product management teams to understand requirements, processes, and business needs.\
  • Translate business requirements into Workday configurations, ensuring solutions are scalable and aligned with organizational goals.\
  • Configure and maintain Workday modules as per business requirements.\
  • Prepare functional documentation, workflows, and support testing/UAT cycles.\
  • Ensure timely delivery of Workday configurations and support change management activities.\
  • Act as an anchor resource for the offshore team and provide leadership in establishing processes, governance, and best practices.\
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, optimize solutions, and provide ongoing support.\
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants as the offshore team grows.\

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • \
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant, with at least 2–3 years working with Workday configurations.\
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and business workflows.\
  • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and relevant modules (certifications preferred).\
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.\
  • Experience in Agile environments, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration.\
