Job Title: Senior Director of Cybersecurity Strategy

Caterpillar is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of Cybersecurity Strategy to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with functional leaders to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes
  • Act as a subject matter expert for IT security overall architecture across portfolios and security domains
  • Engage with functional heads and stakeholders in understanding security compliance
  • Strategize the security roadmap, implement systems, processes, and governance to meet organizational security requirements
  • Participate in IT strategy covering infrastructure, internal systems and processes, information security and business continuity plans
  • Design and implement a comprehensive checklist to manage information security including data security, application security, network security, endpoint security, secure logging and monitoring, cloud security, mobile security, etc.
  • Ensure regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks and develop and execute plans to mitigate these risks
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant industry regulations and data protection laws as they relate to security
  • Ability to collaborate and influence multiple businesses to implement various Information Security processes
  • Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
  • 10+ years on information security domains
  • Experience in cloud and network security
  • Experience integrating security practices into the SDLC
  • Knowledge of modern cloud technology components and deployment patterns
  • Experience leading teams and people
  • Experience with Risk Management frameworks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Candidates will have:

  • Relevant certifications including CISSP, CISA, CISM, AWS Security preferred
  • 5+ years working with Cloud infrastructure
  • Previous experience with development in Java, Python
  • Offensive security testing experience
