Custom Memory Design Expert

We are seeking an experienced Custom Memory Design Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full custom memory design and architectures, including characterization, layout design, net-listers, and complete SRAM design verification at the compiler level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement execution plans, design quality plans, and DFMEAs.
  • Report on project health and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of various memory architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with SRAM leaf cell GDS from scratch to top-level integration.
  • Expertise in working on memory layout design for advanced nodes (TSMC: 7nm/5nm/3nm).
  • Proficiency in physical verification flow debug, including DRC, LVS, DFM, PERC, ERC, EM, and IR.
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso layout editor and Caliber Physical Verification Flow.
  • Familiarity with Synopsys Custom Compiler is a plus.
  • Understanding of good layout practices in lower process nodes like 7nm and 5nm.
  • Expertise in working on FinFET architecture and addressing challenges such as variability and manufacturability.
  • Knowledge of address process-dependent effects like electro-migration (EM) and IR drop.
  • Experience in optimizing layouts for yield enhancement and manufacturing robustness.
  • Ability to perform debugging of silicon failures and identify layout-related issues.
  • Creation of detailed and optimized physical layouts for memory cells, arrays, and peripheral circuits using tools like Cadence Virtuoso or Synopsys Custom Compiler.
