Job Title: Procurement Manager

 

Role Summary:

The Procurement Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely availability of quality parts for Electric Vehicles (2-wheeler) industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for local sourcing, purchasing, and managing vendors to achieve cost savings while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

 

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced procurement professional to join our team. As a Procurement Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding reliable suppliers for EV components and raw materials. You will negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and ensure timely procurement to support production schedules and service requirements.

 

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Procurement & Sourcing:

    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for EV components and raw materials.
    • Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
    • Ensure timely procurement to support production schedules and service requirements.

  2. Vendor Management:

    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
    • Monitor vendor performance (quality, delivery timelines, compliance).
    • Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities as per company and industry standards.

  3. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:

    • Work closely with production, R&D, and service teams to forecast material requirements.
    • Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
    • Coordinate logistics for timely deliveries from domestic and international suppliers.

  4. Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate procurement records.
    • Handle import/export documentation for EV parts and equipment.

  5. Cost & Quality Optimization:

    • Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure procured items meet specifications.
    • Contribute to localization of components to reduce costs and import dependency.

 

Qualifications & Skills Required:

For this role, we are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, MBA
  • 2–5 years in procurement, preferably in automobile or electric vehicle industry.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of EV components (battery, motor, controller, charger, etc.) is preferred.
  • Advance proficiency in MS-Excel
  • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 

Key Competencies:

We are looking for someone who is result-oriented with a focus on cost, quality, and delivery. Strong coordination and multitasking ability is essential. Additionally, integrity and compliance-focused mindset is required. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced EV ecosystem.

 

Salary Range:

₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month (depending on experience)
