- The assigned area must be meticulously maintained in preparation for potential inspections.
- Timely arrival, adherence to instructions, and maintenance of personal appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards are mandatory.
Financial prudence is also a critical aspect of this role, as the Line Cook will be accountable for cost containment through proper record-keeping, supply management, and equipment maintenance.
Key Qualifications:- A minimum of 4 years of experience in upscale hotels, resorts, cruise ships, or convention banqueting services, with at least 2 years in a Line Cook position (shipboard experience preferred).
- Culinary school degree is mandatory.
- Strong leadership skills in multicultural and dynamic environments are desired.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Possession of superior customer service, team-building, and conflict resolution skills is essential.
- Knowledge of personalized service principles and techniques is required.
- Demonstrated planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills are desired.
- Intermediate computer software skills are mandatory.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles such as numbering flow, debits/credits, adjusting entries, and corrections is necessary.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence, as well as establish a good rapport with senior officers and corporate office, is expected.
- Completion of at least one contract as Commis Cook with a performance rating of satisfactory or above, along with demonstrated leadership skills.
