Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description

The role of an Accounts Receivable Specialist is a crucial part of our accounting team, responsible for managing client invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting.

This position requires strong expertise in accounts receivable processes and prior night shift experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work independently and collaboratively, and possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities include generating, reviewing, and distributing client invoices, processing and recording incoming payments, monitoring receivable balances, and following up with clients for timely collections.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accounts receivable reports, investigating and resolving payment discrepancies, billing issues, and customer queries, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hands-on accounting experience of approximately 2–4 years, preferably with Canadian accounting firms or in public practice.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients and work pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
