Job Overview:

As a Senior Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining the software architecture of our product, balancing performance, power efficiency, and safety-critical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software Architecture: Define and architect the software framework for automotive systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with hardware design and automotive standards.
  • Component Development: Lead the design and development of software components and modules for automotive platforms.
  • Industry Standards: Implement software solutions in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize software performance for real-time constraints and resource efficiency.
  • Analysis and Enhancement: Conduct performance analysis and propose enhancements to meet automotive industry standards.
  • Intellectual Property: Support Intellectual Property activities and generate Invention Disclosure Memos to facilitate patent applications.
  • Design Reviews: Contribute to design reviews across algorithm teams.
  • Next Generation Algorithms: Consider next generation algorithms and new business opportunities.
  • Algorithm Development: Develop algorithms with a view to implementing on embedded DSP platforms.
  • Representation: Represent Valeo at various Industry Working Groups and at Conferences where directed.
  • Training and Education: Support the design and implementation of in-company training sessions in your area of expertise.
  • University Relations: Develop and maintain relationship with university counterparts.
  • Competency Improvement: Strive to improve competencies in the field of automotive vision based ADAS, Computer vision and C++ in particular.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and suggest/implement improvements within the current processes used in algorithm, development.
  • Research and Development: Perform state-of-the-art research into deep learning & Computer vision approaches and methodologies.
  • Module Architecture: Creation of initial high-level module and sub-module architecture at project kick-off as well as pre-dev projects.
  • Expertise Provision: Provide expertise to algorithm and embedded leads in the design of all the CV/DL functions.
  • Computer Vision: Research, develop, benchmark, test and document state of the art computer vision and image processing algorithms for autonomous driving applications.
  • Technology Research: Perform research into new vision technology, ideas, and approaches.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the software architecture meets safety and security standards relevant to automotive systems.
  • Risk Assessment: Collaborate with safety engineers to conduct risk assessments and develop safety-critical software components.
Requirements:
  • C/C++ Programming Skills: Strong C, C++ programming skills or strong rapid prototyping skills in Enterprise Architect for Modeling, Experience in Doors
  • Computer Vision: Good understanding of fundamental computer vision algorithms and approaches.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Innovation and Motivation: High level of innovation and motivation.
  • Research Experience: Excellent research experience.
  • Automotive Software Standards: Experience with automotive software standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet.
  • Operating Systems: Experience in QNX/Safertos ,freeRTOS
