Healthcare Data Engineer – AI/ML Enablement

 

Job Description:

Accelyst seeks a skilled healthcare data engineer to support the development of cutting-edge AI-driven solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines that enable predictive analytics, risk stratification, fraud detection, and other critical use cases.

Our ideal candidate has strong experience in healthcare data engineering, with expertise in data cleaning, normalization, aggregation, and feature extraction. They possess knowledge of healthcare standards and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, HL7, FHIR) and proficiency in SQL, Python, and automation frameworks for data workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in healthcare data engineering (claims, EHR, clinical datasets)
  • Proficiency in data cleaning, normalization, aggregation, and feature extraction
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, HL7, FHIR)
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, and automation frameworks for data workflows
  • Hands-on experience integrating data from multiple healthcare systems and vendors
  • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions, APIs, and specialized payer platforms
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to partner with AI/ML teams
  • Strong understanding of data governance, HIPAA compliance, and audit documentation
