Enterprise Kafka Migration Specialist

This key role involves designing and implementing migration pipelines for enterprise Kafka workloads.

The successful candidate will be responsible for automating validation, rollback, and monitoring tasks, as well as developing and integrating custom plugins for Kafka Connect.

Additionally, they will build scalable CI/CD processes for Kafka resource provisioning and configuration rollouts, ensuring automated tests cover data integrity, performance, and integration interfaces post-migration.

They will also integrate with cloud orchestration services, manage infrastructure-as-code, and ensure exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design automated migration pipelines for moving enterprise Kafka workloads to open-source or cloud-native clusters.
  • Script and provision migration steps, automate validation, rollback, and monitoring tasks.
  • Develop and integrate custom plugins for Kafka Connect as part of migration workflows.
  • Build scalable CI/CD processes for Kafka resource provisioning and configuration rollouts.
  • Ensure automated tests cover data integrity, performance, and integration interfaces post-migration.
  • Integrate with cloud orchestration services, manage infrastructure-as-code, and ensure exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Requirements:
  • Candidate should have hands-on experience in Apache Kafka administration and migration.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of cloud services, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
