Government Consultant Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead business development and advisory engagements in the Government and Public Sector domain. The ideal candidate will have expertise in investment promotion, policy implementation, and infrastructure research with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement across departments, PSUs, and industry associations.

  • Manage end-to-end government consulting and account management activities across IT, electronics, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Foster investment promotion and policy implementation through direct engagement with ministries, state departments, and public agencies.
  • Serve as liaison between government and industry during national and international events, trade shows, and investment summits.
  • Conduct policy research, feasibility studies, and sectoral analyses to support decision-making and project development.
  • Identify and nurture opportunities through tenders, empanelments, and public-private partnership (PPP) initiatives.
  • BUILD strong relationships with government officials, industry stakeholders, and investors to position the organization as a trusted partner.
  • Develop presentations, proposals, and communication material for government and PSU engagements.
  • Maintain MIS dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track policy implementation and project progress.
  • Stay updated on digital transformation initiatives, procurement guidelines, and sector-specific government schemes.
Qualifications & Experience Required

A minimum of 3 years of experience in government consulting, investment promotion, or infrastructure research is required.

Strong exposure to IT & electronics, urban infrastructure, transport, energy, and water sectors is necessary.

A proven track record of policy advisory, government liaison, and project facilitation is essential.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills are required.

Willingness to travel extensively to government departments, industry events, and project sites is necessary.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience in consulting firms, government advisory projects, or multilateral agency assignments is desirable.

A strong understanding of government procurement, incentive processing, and investment facilitation is required.

The ability to analyze large datasets, prepare market research reports, and deliver actionable insights is necessary.

Experience with event representation, branding, and promotional outreach in government/PSU contexts is desirable.
