AML Compliance Specialist

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced AML Compliance Specialist to join our team in a key leadership position. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 10 investigators responsible for supporting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Alert Assessment and Case Investigations.

About the Team:

The AML Operations team is responsible for identifying and mitigating financial crime risks within our organization. As an AML Compliance Specialist, you will work closely with our senior management team to develop and implement effective compliance strategies.

Your Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for providing guidance on investigations, compliance processes, and regulatory issues. This includes conducting regular risk assessments, evaluating the effectiveness of existing controls, and identifying areas for improvement.

Success Profile:

To succeed in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You must also be able to prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience managing operational teams
  • Proficiency in using AML Monitoring systems and related software
  • Strong oral communication skills and ability to produce written summaries which clearly consolidate recommendations and conclusions

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Justice Studies, English, Journalism, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or other fields involving intensive research, writing, or data analysis
