Risk Analyst Job Summary

Risk analysts identify and assess potential risks that could impact an organization's financial health. They develop strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the company remains stable and profitable.

This role involves:

  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing credit risk models and associated frameworks in unsecured rural/semi-urban lending contexts.
  • Implementing and monitoring credit risk strategies across the lending life cycle - acquisition, underwriting, cross-sell, and collections.
  • Reviewing portfolios on a periodic basis, analyzing portfolio trends to track quality, and identifying early warning signals across various risk metrics.
  • Ensuring timely review and update of risk policies to reflect dynamic external environments and internal risk appetites.
  • Analyzing industry data at scale, preparing management information dashboards, and apprising senior management on changing market conditions.
  • Regularly reviewing processes for adherence to risk policies and verifying controls are effectively in place.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to strengthen risk frameworks.
Eligibility Criteria

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A BTech or MTech degree from a reputable institution.
  • 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), fintech, or lending institutions.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages, with 2+ years of experience mandatory.
  • Excellent understanding of data and ability to derive insights.
  • Sound knowledge of statistical models.
  • Experience in microfinance or MSME lending is advantageous.
