About the Role

Ninjacart, a pioneer in agritech, seeks an experienced Sourcing and Procurement Expert to join its team. This role is focused on driving supply operations, cost savings, and vendor management across the farm-to-retailer business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supply Planning & Inventory Management: Ensure 100% fill rate for defined SKUs, identify sources of supply, monitor and track inventory to minimize waste while maintaining optimal supply levels.
  • Cost Savings: Monitor price trends across markets, strategically optimize supply with sources to improve margins, and identify opportunities to reduce costs across the supply side.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, onboard, and manage vendors, negotiate prices, perform monthly/weekly reconciliations, manage credit cycles, make vendor payments, and develop ways to improve stickiness with Ninjacart.
  • Team Leadership: Hire and lead vendor managers and procurement managers, nurture the team with the right vision and guidance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders – Quality, Category, Supply Chain & Finance – to drive discussions and influence decisions.

Requirements
  • 4–9 years of experience in sourcing & vendor management across F&V in Hyderabad/Telangana/Andhra Pradesh region.
  • Academics from Tier 2 / 3– Graduate or Postgraduate preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analyzing, and solutionizing skills.
  • Self-motivated, agile, and ability to adapt to changing business environments.
  • Fluency in Telugu, English. Proficiency in Hindi is a plus.
