Project Manager Job Description

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in engineering, preferably with a degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

The desired qualifications and skills include:

  • Extensive experience in managing the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects, encompassing solar, wind, BESS, and hybrid initiatives.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory frameworks and technical/commercial aspects of renewable energy.
  • A proven track record of effective project management, risk assessment, and process orientation is essential.
  • Ability to develop commercial and industrial projects from inception to readiness, ensuring adherence to timelines and project schedules.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluating and managing vendors related to project development, based on their experience and market feedback.
  • Conducting thorough due diligence of project sites for suitability, including connectivity timelines, resource mapping, and technical specification assessments.
  • Overseeing all related documentation for the project, including contract finalization, land document compilation, cost model development, and tariff-return scenario assessment.
  • Performing regulatory diligence based on state and CTU guidelines for connectivity, group captive, etc.
  • Managing vendor-related transactions, including land advances and resource estimation.
  • Promoting project roll-out activities, such as land acquisition, procurement, contract execution, GST registration, and essential secretarial work.
