We are seeking a highly skilled professional with hands-on experience in Airbus aircraft programs to fill the role of technical publications author.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and revise Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs) for Airbus aircraft programs, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to develop accurate maintenance procedures.
  • E nsure adherence to ATA iSpec2200, S1000D, and ASD-STE100 standards by leveraging expertise in these areas.
  • Utilize specialized tools such as GIPSY, GIDOCA, SAP, ZAMIZ, DACAS, and PDMLink to streamline the authoring process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee technical accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct peer reviews and provide guidance to junior authors and illustrators to foster growth and development.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks by prioritizing workload and managing time effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in AMM authoring for Airbus aircraft, showcasing expertise in content creation and revision.
  • Strong knowledge of ATA chapters related to airframe and systems, demonstrating ability to interpret complex information.
  • Familiarity with Airbus documentation standards and tools, including certification in relevant areas.
  • Excellent written communication and technical writing skills, with ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with S1000D-based authoring, utilizing expertise in this area to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Exposure to Agile or Lean documentation processes, applying principles to improve collaboration and productivity.
  • Certification in Technical Writing or Aviation Maintenance, demonstrating commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
