Job Role:

Credit Control Manager Job Description

To drive and oversee the Credit evaluation and control function, ensuring timely collection of receivables, minimizing credit risk, and maintaining a healthy cash flow while supporting business expansion and customer relationships.

Main Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Governance
  • Direct and manage a team of experienced credit controllers across head office and regional offices.
  • Establish and implement credit control procedures (credit limits, policies) and strategies to manage divisional credit exposure.
  • Develop governance mechanisms and define KPIs for performance monitoring of the credit evaluation and control function.
Cash Flow & Financial Coordination
  • Liaise with the finance department to ensure a healthy cash flow for the division, while driving:
  • Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) and working capital optimization.
  • Receivables forecasting accuracy.
  • Reduction in Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership, Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), and Zone Sales Managers (ZSMs) to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Publish relevant reports and fact sheets as per leadership requirements, including: Collection performance summaries, Aging analysis, Exception reports.
Operational Oversight
  • Coach and support the credit evaluation and control team in managing day-to-day activities using the Accounts Receivable solution.
  • Expedite collection of doubtful debts through a defined escalation workflow and timely exception handling.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of financial management principles. They will be able to analyze complex data sets, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic plans to drive business growth.
