We're Hiring: Category Manager – Fashion (Full-time, On-site)

Location: Andheri, Mumbai

Experience: 2–5 years

At Nap Chief, we're building India's most loved premium kidswear brand. From ultra-soft fabrics to bold, pop culture-inspired collections (Marvel, Minions & more), we're reimagining what kidswear should look and feel like.

Now, we're looking for a Category Manager – Fashion who can take complete ownership of our apparel categories and drive business growth across seasons.

What the Role Involves

As a Category Manager, you'll be at the heart of our business — balancing fashion, analytics, and strategy. You'll manage the category end-to-end:

P&L & Revenue Management

  • Own profitability at the category level
  • Plan pricing, discounts, and margins aligned with growth targets
  • Identify growth levers and monitor revenue performance

Inventory Planning & Control

  • Forecast demand based on data, seasonality & trends
  • Ensure healthy inventory levels to reduce stock-outs & dead stock
  • Partner with sourcing & production for timely replenishments

Assortment Strategy & Sales Planning

  • Build collections that align with customer demand & brand identity
  • Plan product mix across price points, characters & collections
  • Track SKU-level performance to boost conversions and sell-through

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with design on seasonal directions & briefs
  • Collaborate with marketing & e-commerce for launches & visibility
  • Share insights and reports with the team & leadership
Who We're Looking For
  • 2–5 years of experience in Category Management, Buying, or Merchandising (fashion/D2C preferred)
  • Strong analytical & Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • A sharp eye for product, pricing, and consumer trends in apparel
  • Ability to manage fast-paced timelines & multiple stakeholders
  • Marketplace experience (Amazon, Myntra, AJIO, etc.) is a big plus
