Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management Specialist to join our team and provide expert-level support in Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) management. This role will involve researching and analyzing financial data on clients, performing risk assessments, and monitoring risk exposures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of financial data on clients to identify potential credit risks.
  • Perform due diligence on clients when required and challenge credit ratings and credit limits proposed by the first line of defense.
  • Monitor risk exposures and counterparty creditworthiness actively and raise alerts as necessary to the business.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize exposure and maximize returns.
  • Presentation of recommendations for risk limits, one-off transactions, and credit ratings to risk officers.
  • Liaise with Business Lines, Legal staffs, Global advisory divisions, and other stakeholders to coordinate credit requests.

Requirements:

  • Strong quantitative skills with experience in reading and understanding legal documentation.
  • Ability to form, defend, and enforce risk judgments independently and possess strong analysis and synthesis abilities with objectivity.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and evaluate counterparty risk using quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal, with strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to work in a global team with international exposure.
  • Self-starter able to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate should have a CA degree/MBA in Finance from a reputable institution and additional certifications like FRM or CFA are desirable.
