Job Title: Senior Finishing Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Finishing Director to lead our finishing operations. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our finishing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management:
    • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the finishing department, including bleaching, dyeing, printing, washing, and other finishing processes.
    • Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
    • Monitor machine utilization, efficiency, and workflow to optimize capacity.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee quality control processes to ensure fabrics meet required customer specifications and international standards.
    • Drive initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and waste.
    • Implement best practices for process consistency and product reliability.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation:
    • Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Introduce new finishing techniques and technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
    • Collaborate with R&D and technical teams on process development and new product trials.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Maintain standards in line with customer audits, certifications, and sustainability requirements (e.g., ZDHC, OEKO-TEX, GOTS).
    • Enforce strict adherence to EHS guidelines within the finishing operations.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Production Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum 12+ years of experience in fabric finishing, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role in a reputable fabric/textile mill.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in fabric finishing, leadership skills to manage large teams, and ability to drive process improvements, cost optimization, and compliance with quality and sustainability standards.

They should have experience in managing complex projects, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality output.
