Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled PCB design engineer to join our team. As an experienced engineer, you will be responsible for designing complex layouts, ensuring signal and power integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ECAD Expertise: Proficiency in using Allegro/Xpedition software is essential for this role.
  • Technical Analysis: You will need to understand and analyse technical requirements and customer input to execute layout engineering successfully.
  • Layout Experience: Experience in designing layouts for motherboards using Intel, AMD, NXP, TI processors is highly desirable.
  • Design Guidelines: Understanding design guidelines from PDG and implementation is crucial for this position.
  • IPC Standards: Very good knowledge of relevant IPC design standards for library creation, PCB design, and schematic entry is required.
  • Circuitry Expertise: PCB layout placement with a strong background dealing with analog, digital, power, and high-speed circuitry is essential.
  • Net Routing: Experience in high-speed net routing and usage of blind & buried vias is necessary.
  • Tab Routing: Knowledge of tab routing is beneficial.
  • Constraint Settings: Physical, spacing, and electrical constraint settings must be understood and applied effectively.
  • Schematic Reading: Should be able to read schematics independently.
  • Signal Integrity: Awareness of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity concepts for PCB Design is crucial.
  • Manufacturing Rules: Ability to work with PCB manufacturers and assembly houses to understand manufacturing rules.
  • Documentation: Self-motivated and able to create documentation regarding PCB guidelines, processes, checklists.
  • Thermal Impact: Knowledge and understanding of thermal impact for design placement.
  • DFM/DFA/DFS/DFT: Good expertise in DFM, DFA, DFS, and DFT analysis.
  • Gerber/Odb++: Gerber and ODB++ generation and review skills are essential.
