Job Title: AI Systems Developer

Job Description

We're seeking a skilled AI Systems Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of reliable, self-improving systems that empower subject matter experts to automate their most complex, high-value work.

  • Build AI-Enabled Products: Develop products that leverage the capabilities of large language models (LLMs) and other recent advancements in foundation models.
  • High-Performance Search and Retrieval-Augmented Generation: Build and optimize data indexing, ranking, and query processing systems for high-performance search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • Evaluation Frameworks: Create robust frameworks to evaluate the performance of agents, RAG systems, and various LLMs, taking a polyglot approach to working with LLMs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Software Engineering or Data Science Experience: 1-3 years of experience in software engineering or end-to-end data science, with strong proficiency in Python and data-oriented algorithms.
  • Ai Agents, Data Systems, or Machine Learning Engineering Background: Strong background in either AI agents, data systems, or machine learning engineering.
  • Modern Python Microservices: Experience with modern Python microservices, including FastAPI, Ray.IO, Kubernetes orchestration, gRPC inter-service communication, and Google Cloud Pub/Sub event streaming.
  • Ai Agent Stack: Familiarity with the AI agent stack, including LlamaIndex, LangGraph, SmolAgent, Instructor, Anthropic, OpenAI, Qdrant, ParadeDB, and Sentence-Transformers.
  • Vector Databases and Real-Time Data Processing: Recent demonstrated experience in building agents, training and evaluating emerging LLMs, building RAG systems, or working with vector databases.
  • Familiarity with Core Technologies: Familiarity with core technologies such as Ray, Postgres, Iceberg, Google Cloud, and Docker/Kubernetes/Helm is a plus.
