Key Role: Radiology Coder Specialist

We seek a detail-oriented professional to accurately assign codes for diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Review radiology reports to assign correct diagnosis and procedure codes.
  • Ensure coding compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Code various radiology modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation oncology.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, billing staff, and auditors to resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Stay up-to-date on coding guidelines and regulatory changes.
  • Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
  • Assist in internal and external audits as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in radiology coding, IR preferred.
  • MIPS Coding mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of CPT-, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes.
  • Familiarity with payer-specific rules and LCD NCD policies.
