We are seeking a detail-oriented Radiology Coder with 1-10 years of experience to join our healthcare team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient billing processes.

Responsibilities

- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding of radiology procedures.
- Assign appropriate codes to diagnostic imaging studies such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and ensure compliance with coding guidelines.
- Stay updated on coding changes and updates in radiology procedures and regulations.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance providers, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
- Audit and resolve coding discrepancies and denials in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.

Skills and Qualifications

- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems related to radiology.
- Strong understanding of radiology terminology and procedures.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with healthcare staff.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is mandatory.
