About the Role

This position is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer to join our team as a Turbomachinery Auxiliary Systems Engineer. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Mechanical Auxiliaries according to best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with external engineering suppliers to create basic engineering drawings and 3D models of Mechanical Auxiliaries items, foundation drawings, and manage 3D models.
  • Perform structural analysis of baseplates using FEA tools.
  • Develop static and dynamic analysis by external suppliers and support the creation of built-to-print drawings for the baseplate.
  • Create piping line specifications.
  • Design and size lube oil tanks (API 614) and select lube oil system components like pumps, LV motors, filters, accumulators, rundown tanks, and pressure control valves.
  • Support skid package design development of Compressor Steam turbine packages, including package piping support design, locking assembly, etc, with due consideration to ergonomics, accessibility, and maintenance.
  • Design various external BOP skids that include Oil mist eliminators, Rundown oil tanks, and Seal gas treatment skids in collaboration with external OEM vendors.
  • Participate in 3D model review of the entire train, verifying interface across different products that constitute the project, supporting 3D model review meetings with the customer.
  • Perform stress analysis of piping supports, where required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in packaging rotating equipment, auxiliary equipment design/piping support design/analysis/structural analysis.
  • Knowledge of piping design for ASME B, Lube oil System sizing to API 614 code requirement.
  • Experience in sizing calculations and valve selection.
  • Working knowledge in NX modules, Autocad modeling, drafting, routing assembly, and analysis software like Ansys, Caesar, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering documents (like P ID, technical data sheets, and OM manuals).
