Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aligning material availability with production plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams for demand forecasting and capacity planning, and monitoring daily and weekly production plans.
  • Procurement and supplier coordination involve ensuring timely procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables, as well as coordinating with central procurement and approved vendors to track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and quality compliance.
  • Maintaining optimal inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, monitoring stock ageing, non-moving inventory, and initiating timely disposal or consumption plans.
  • Oversight of inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time-in-full deliveries, managing warehouse operations, space utilization, and storage safety, and ensuring proper documentation, dispatch scheduling, and coordination with transporters.
  • Cost and process optimization require identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce logistics, inventory carrying, and procurement costs, driving process improvements using lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies, and tracking and improving key supply chain metrics like inventory turnover, delivery accuracy, and material yield.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, environmental health and safety (EHS) norms, and statutory regulations, conducting regular training and audits to uphold safety and operational standards.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing plant SCM team, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and development plans for the team, and fostering collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement mindset.
Qualifications and Experience Required:

A graduate degree in Engineering, Science, or Commerce is required. An MBA or Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred. Relevant experience in supply chain or operations management in a manufacturing setup is essential. Strong understanding of production planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), logistics, and warehousing practices is necessary. Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office tools is required. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are expected.
