Incident Management Specialist

About the Role:

The Incident Management Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and detecting major IT incidents, facilitating recovery through mobilization of key resources, establishing communication with stakeholders, and documenting critical recovery steps. This role is ideal for individuals with strong facilitation skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in incident management or Major Incident Response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and detect major IT incidents and events
  • Facilitate and drive recovery of outages through mobilization of key resources
  • Establish and maintain communication of incident timeline and recovery progress to all critical stakeholders
  • Coordinate and document all critical recovery steps throughout an outage

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience in Major Incident Management (min 4 years)
  • Technology experience in incident management or Major Incident Response
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Understanding of solving complex problems with information technology software and hardware
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven decision-making and influencing skills
  • Broad knowledge of technology across application and infrastructure environment
