Job Title: Director - Strategy

About the Role:

Messe Muenchen India, a leading trade fair organizer, is seeking a strategic and growth-focused professional to join as Director - Strategy. This role works closely with the CEO to shape and execute business growth strategies across the IMEA region.

The Director - Strategy will lead high-impact strategic initiatives, identify new growth opportunities, and drive cross-functional alignment to maximize market impact.

About You:

  • You are a seasoned professional with a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business strategies.
  • With a minimum of 12 years' experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles in B2B industries.
  • You possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to drive strategic initiatives focused on revenue growth, market expansion, and positioning across IMEA.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to identify growth opportunities, assess market trends, and evaluate competitive threats.
  • Execute growth strategies through cross-functional collaboration and effective project management.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new market opportunities and potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, customers, and government agencies.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics and financial indicators to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the trade fairs industry and incorporate them into the company's strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • A minimum of 12 years' experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles in B2B industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in trade fairs, events, publications, or allied industries is a plus.
