Pricing Analyst Job Description

This role involves conducting market research to understand competitor pricing, market trends, and customer preferences.

We are looking for a candidate who can analyze pricing data from industry standards, previous sales trends, and competitors to provide insights to decision-makers.

The successful candidate will develop and implement pricing strategies that align with company goals and market conditions.

They will work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop tactical and strategic pricing policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to understand competitor pricing, market trends, and customer preferences.
  • Analyze pricing data from industry standards, previous sales trends, and competitors to provide insights to decision-makers.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with company goals and market conditions.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop tactical and strategic pricing policies.
  • Create detailed reports and present findings to management to support pricing decisions.
  • Ensure that pricing strategies adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Predict future market trends and revenue based on pricing strategies or collect and compile competitor pricing data to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
  • Provide technical and business product management support for internal pricing system and tools, including creation and maintenance of software solutions (pricing calculators in Excel or other tools) and pricing databases.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and finance teams to ensure pricing strategies are integrated across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes and tools.
