Global Trade Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a talented professional to join our team as a Global Trade Compliance Specialist. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the company's compliance with global trade regulations and laws.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Support divisions in coordinating requests for export control information, including export classifications, HS codes, country of origin, and controlled content determinations.
  • Develop and manage processes for coordinating requests as described above.
  • Monitor and provide status updates for the above tasks.
  • Collaborate with logistics trade compliance on classification and material master items as necessary.
  • Support logistics trade compliance regionally.
  • Work with restricted party screening (RPS) application to review potential matches with relevant restricted party lists.
  • Get final decision from corporate trade compliance (CTC) on the result of their reviews.
  • Once matches are confirmed by CIC and related parties (sales, procurement finance), identify orders attested and coordinate relevant order block-end shipments.
  • Perform individual RPS screenings upon request.
  • Obtain data elements, specification documents, or material information from divisions to ensure proper classification of items.
  • Support various stages of audits and assessments, both internal/external, as related to applicable records management and document collection.
  • Provide status, reports, and metrics pertaining to applicable records management and assist with internal training sessions related to records management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong expertise in SAP GTS, HTS/ECCN classification, FTA management, export controls, and customs compliance.
  • 4+ years of experience specializing in global trade.
  • Proven track record of leading compliance operations, working with cross-functional teams, and driving process improvement in high-volume, multinational environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
