Compliance Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Compliance Specialist. This role will involve providing accurate customs classification and trade compliance support to our global operations.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate classification of mechanical and electrical products and adherence to international trade regulations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Classify mechanical and electrical components based on technical specifications, customs guidelines from Europe, India, USA, China, and WTO (including GIR/GRI rules).
  • Evaluate products and parts for Dual-Use compliance screening.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless cooperation.
  • Stay up-to-date with global trade compliance regulations and classification rules.
  • Develop and deliver training on trade compliance topics.
  • Ensure efficient resource planning and delivery of classification projects.
  • Maintain high-quality service levels and resolve customs-related queries in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of mechanical/electrical parts and ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, supplier catalogues.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Customs Compliance or Trade Classification and Export Control.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HS Code classification of goods per international customs regulations.
  • Familiarity with General Rules for Interpretation (GRI/GIR).
