Business Valuation Expert

As a senior associate, you will be responsible for the valuation of businesses, business interests, and intangible assets. This includes analyzing historical financial and operating results of target companies, identifying risks, and explaining business trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Valuation of businesses, business interests, and intangible assets
  • Financial Statement Analysis, including common size analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis
  • Market/industry research and development of industry growth estimates
  • Construction and review of valuation and other financial models
  • Design and preparation of valuation reports and other client deliverables
  • Presentation of analyses and conclusions to internal management and external clients

You will work closely with associates, directing engagement activity and providing review and mentorship as needed. A fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory and experience in traditional valuation methods is required.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or related field, and a minimum 2+ years of demonstrated experience performing work related to fair value of debt, equity, purchase price allocation, and/or goodwill impairments in a public accounting, consulting, or investment banking environment.

Experience in valuing contingent consideration and valuation for mergers & acquisitions, as well as comprehensive experience with financial databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and other high-level tools, are also necessary.
