Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Job Description:

This role is centered around developing and enhancing network services and solutions to ensure seamless experiences for colleagues and contractors. The ideal candidate will provide technical support throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, from ideation through execution, ongoing management, and eventual service retirement or recycling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, engineer, implement, and optimize LAN/WAN/WiFi networks for the corporate network product.
  • Manage network service and circuit capacity.
  • Plan and deliver projects, including hardware and software specifications, vendor coordination, and full operational turnover.
  • Develop change plans and conduct run book reviews.
  • Oversee third-party service providers.
  • Provide Level 3 escalation support for operational issues and/or outages.
  • Collaborate with key teams, including Network Architects, Test and Certification, Information Security, Finance, Procurement, etc.
  • Participate in product strategy and planning.
  • Implement new initiatives to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate network designs, tooling, and operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking, focusing on wireless, SD-WAN, and LAN infrastructure.
  • Expertise in enterprise wireless protocols, RF site surveys, and security best practices.
  • Proven hands-on experience with SD-WAN, including policy configuration, site provisioning, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding and implementation experience with Fabric-based LAN architectures.
  • Proficient in Layer 2/3 networking concepts, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and multicast.
  • Skilled in network monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tools.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with telco and ISP networks.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead network design and implementation projects independently or as part of a team.
Benefits:

The ideal candidate will have exposure to and familiarity with automation, AI, and machine learning for deploying and managing networks. Development and deployment of virtualized network services are also desired. Understanding of cloud networking solutions and cloud interconnects is necessary. Vendor experience with Cisco LAN/WAN/WiFi, HPE/Mist WiFi, Palo Alto Networks FW and SDWA NetScout, Thousand Eyes, NetMRI, ServiceNow, Oracle SBCs and VOIP is beneficial. Exposure to CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) environments is advantageous.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience/certification is required.
